Annual Meeting

2021 Coastal Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members

Our 2021 Annual Meeting took place on May 27th at 10:00 a.m., but for the health and safety of everyone involved, it was not a public event and lunch as in the past. Instead, only the required business session was held from our headquarters office with only officers and board members in attendance. That meeting was live-streamed for the public and members to view.

Coastal Electric Cooperative members were also given the opportunity to stop by the Coastal Electric Cooperative Midway or Richmond Hill offices during Member Appreciation Days on May 24-26 to pick up a 38-piece Stanley Home Project Hand Tools Set and register to win $1,000. During Member Appreciation Days, Coastal Electric members were also able to pre-register for the virtual annual meeting and vote for their co-op board of directors.

We’re pleased to announce the winners of our Member Appreciation Week grand prize — Andy and Darlene Shuman of Richmond Hill!

CEO Chris Fettes presented the $1,000 cash to Andy, who is a retired CSX Railroad engineer. He and his wife are planning a trip to Alaska next year.

Each of the 1,738 members who registered during Member Appreciation Week was entered into a drawing for the $1,000, which took place during our virtual annual meeting this morning.

Congratulations to the Shumans, and thanks to all our members who participated!

The winners were announced during the live stream broadcast of the Annual Meeting on May 27, 2021. You can watch the broadcast on Facebook or our YouTube Channel.
