Members can register to win a $500 bill credit June 3-5

Can’t attend Coastal Electric’s Annual Meeting but still want to participate? Beginning last year, our Board of Directors made it possible for members who can’t attend to still register and vote, as well as enter to win $500 of free electricity!

The week of June 3 is Member Appreciation Week, culminating with the Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Day June 6.

For three days only—June 3-5—members can register to win $500 of free electricity from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at either of our offices in Richmond Hill or Midway.

The winner will be announced during Annual Meeting June 6 but doesn’t have to be present to win. Only members who register early (June 3-5) will be eligible to win free electricity. Members who register June 3-5 and attend the Annual Meeting are still eligible to win the annual $1,000 cash prize drawing given away during the meeting but must be present to win the cash prize.

“Member Appreciation Week not only allows us the opportunity to let our members know that they are at the center of everything we do as an organization, but it also allows members who are unable to attend the Annual Meeting due to work or other obligations to participate in the co-op’s democratic process,” said CEO Whit Hollowell. “Democratic member control is one benefit that makes cooperatives special, and we want all our members to be able to take part in that.”

For one lucky member, free electricity for the summer will be icing on the cake!
