Observed Holidays
Each year, Coastal Electric Cooperative’s offices are closed for certain holidays so our employees can spend time with their friends and family. Rest assured, though, teams are always on standby in case of outages or emergencies.
Current Annual Schedule
The Cooperative will observe the following holidays*:
New Year’s Day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
The day following Thanksgiving
Two days at Christmas**
*If the holiday being observed falls on Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday. If the holiday falls on Saturday, the proceeding Friday will be observed.
**If Christmas Day occurs on a Monday or Tuesday, we will observe Monday and Tuesday as our Christmas holidays. If Christmas Day occurs on a Wednesday, we will observe Tuesday and Wednesday as our Christmas holidays. If Christmas Day occurs on a Thursday or Friday, we will observe Thursday and Friday as our Christmas holidays. If Christmas Day occurs on a Saturday or Sunday, we will observe Friday and Monday as our Christmas holidays.
